Sails - Raceboard Blade, Loft Sails
PURE RACEBOARD COMPETITION
completely re-designed for 2015, the Raceboard Blade has a long history in raceboard competitions. Course-board racing (longboards with centerboards) need specific designs that drive upwind in displacement mode, then blast downwind in full planing mode with the mastfoot moved to the rear of the mast track.
The Raceboard Blade full body curves push in low-end power, Raceboard Blade trim reactivity streamlines for upper-end ease. The 5-batten Loftsails Raceboard Blade is competitive course racing made accessible. Alex Buchau won the RaceboardWorld Championships 2012, and Patrik Pollak finished on the podium in the Raceboard World Championships 2013 and 2014 with the Loftsails Raceboard Blade.
New for 2015 is the Raceboard Blade MW (medium wind). The MW is a Worlds-winning design (Fernando Martinez) specific for medium and strong wind Raceboard competition. The Raceboard Blade MW is a tack-radial design, 6 battens, 4 Tekcam2s, monofilm construction.
Raceboard Blades are unique:
Blade mast pocket construction: mast panel AND pocket sides (3 elements) tensioned directly; equalized loading- firm, clean, easy-rotating leading edge.
Alternate side batten pocket applications with xply pockets (centered battens).
2mil triax upper body panels.
ITS Internal Batten Tensioning System: top 3 all-carb tube battens with the batten tensioners located at the front, behind the mast. Weight optimization for extreme leech response.
Tekcam2s- simple, functional, light, adjustable, durable. Sdm & Rdm compatibility. 3 Tekcam2s built into all Raceboard Blade sizes.
Metallic cam interfaces.
Raceboard Blades are engineered with 100% carbon battens in specific locations.
